A nutrition coach is like a personal cheerleader for healthy eating! They help people choose healthier foods, create meal plans that work for their lifestyle, and offer guidance on how to get all the necessary nutrients to feel their best.


Let’s face it … we live in a world where information on health, wellness, fitness, and nutrition is overwhelmingly available, making it difficult to decipher not only what is right for us individually but what will produce our desired result.

While trial and error are methods some people may take toward their health, wellness, fitness, and nutrition, progress may take much longer, and desired results may be less than optimal for the amount of effort invested.

A Nutrition Coach

A nutrition coach provides 1-on-1 support, leading clients toward better nutrition, and lifestyle, to support client’s individual health and wellness goals.

To provide effective leadership, nutrition coaches must demonstrate excellence in not only coaching the behaviors necessary to improve health, wellness, body composition and performance, but also:

  • Calculating caloric needs

  • Macronutrients

  • Hydration

  • Digestion

  • Metabolism

  • Energy balance

  • Energy transfer

  • Movement/exercise

  • Fat loss

  • Muscle gain

Nutrition coaches commonly, establish guidelines and track markers of progress such as body weight, composition, mood, energy, sleep, stress, and hunger. All while leading clients to make different choices, ultimately creating a sustainable program or plan to ensure clients repeatedly achieve their goals.

Health and wellness may be defined differently by each client. As a result, each client’s drive to work with a Nutrition Coach may be unique.
